dA Update: Christmas Hangovers

December 26, 2009 at 9:22 pm (deviation Updates, Personal) (, , , , , , , , )

I find it sad to come up short when I’ve already made up my mind to finish a goal, especially if the said goal is literary by category. I was supposed to write something for a contest with its deadline today but I couldn’t come up with anything weeks prior to this day. I could blame my laziness, my amazing procrastination abilities, but I won’t resort to making up excuses.

…it was all Santa’s fault! (so I killed him in one of my latest deviations)

With that said, I made compensations and would like to wish you all the following pre-written greeting:

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Happy Holidays as well!

More Promises to be Broken

December 12, 2009 at 10:51 am (Personal) (, , , , , , , )

Think of the Guy as Me and the Girl as my Muse.

Recently on deviantART, 2 out of my 3 recent works I submitted to the Writers-Club group were accepted and featured for a week. Those two were poetry under the Horror & Macabre category. I made those during an inspired week after months of writer’s block (also known as my personal laziness). Unfortunately, Chestnut Glow, a creepy prose I wrote during the same week and submitted during the same time is still in the Approval Stage.

I submitted Tap-tappity-tap-tap last November 18. As of this time, it got 10 comments, 57 views and a single download. 2 deviants added it to their Favourites folder: hakeberhut and CursedArchangels on December 11 and November 19 respectively.

Bottomless was submitted last November 20 and it got 2 comments, 43 views and a single download as well. 4 deviants added it to their favorites: animorph4ever, hakeberhut, misamattnmello and CursedArchangels on December 10, December 11 (for both hakerberhut and misamattnmello) and November 23 respectively.

Deviation Update

November 21, 2009 at 12:33 pm (deviation Updates, Personal) (, , , , , , , , )

I finished my Contemporary Literature paper last Friday. Now, I just need to send it through e-mail or print it before leaving it on Sir June’s table. Afterwards, I’ll get my grade.

From Wednesday to Friday (or Saturday morning), I’ll be out for COPRE (College Press Conference) so I won’t be, in theory, able to go online for updates and such. Cross your fingers so I may be lucky enough to win something.

Earlier, I finished typing my autobiography for a Theology class. I’ll be (hand)writing it tomorrow.

I was planning to update this place with an old article last published on Aklan Collegian, or the autobiography actually (but I haven’t passed it yet so I won’t publish it anywhere else), but this will have to do for now.

The last week, though tedious, brought out new sources of creativity for me and thus I had the following poetry as products of my wit. Special thanks to the people mentioned. Hopefully, this continues throughout the year.

Soundtrack of My Summer

October 9, 2009 at 11:10 pm (Language, Literature, Personal) (, , , , , , )

First of all, I’d like to apologize for missing my quota schedule to post an entry every Saturday night. I just had too much work last October 03 and, of course, with too much work comes a lot of stress. My mind wasn’t that productive and I was just simply ranting so forcing myself to write an entry that time would have resulted to something resembling an insult to my dear readers. *winks at Kyle and Chris*

I have been torturing myself with too much work the past few days. Technically, I’m not a part of the college’s student government but I’ve been helping with its programs and projects. The fact that my girl friend is a part of that organization doesn’t help. The fact that I’m a lazy workaholic, I love work but I get lazy every now and then, is just insulting.

Finding time to write is like trying to find a needle in a haystack or a pornstar in the Middle East. It’s atrociously impossible, or near to that if the pornstar is as crafty as a desperate English major. Dragging myself through this self-made mess is insult to injury. I can feel my soul wincing in disappointment.
